Lightning hit property in Wrexham

Two crews from Wrexham were called to a property in Bowling Bank, Wrexham at 1.25am this morning (Wednesday 24th July).

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to tackle the fire.

The incident was brought under control by 2.17am.

The fire involved the roof of the property and the cause of the fire is believed to be lightning strike which resulted in 50% fire damage confined to the roof and water damage to the whole of the property.

All occupiers were evacuated before the fire crews arrived and there were no injuries.
