North Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews from Dolgellau, Barmouth and Bala were called to a collision between two vehicles near the Cross Foxes Public House in Dolgellau at 7:55am this morning.

Four passengers were involved in the collision, with one of the passengers having to be cut out of the vehicles.

Firefighters had to cordon the area off due to safety concerns, and advised members of the public to keep well away of the site.

Fire crews used hose reel jets to extinguish one of the vehicles which was well alight.

North Wales Police and North Wales Ambulance Services were present at the scene, and all passengers are now accounted for. One of the passengers has been transported to hospital via air ambulance, while the three other passengers involved have also been transported by road to hospital.

Fire crews have now completed their work and have made the area safe, and all passengers are now in the care of the Ambulance Service.
