The project aims to address the challenges of ageing facilities that are increasingly costly to maintain and no longer meet modern operational, environmental and workforce requirements.

Key benefits include:

• Increasing firefighter training capacity by 60%
• Providing more realistic, scenario-based training
• Improving firefighter safety through modern training methods that reduce harmful exposure
• Strengthening operational readiness and emergency response
• Enhancing collaboration with partners
• Creating local jobs, apprenticeships and training opportunities, including targets for 580 weeks of placements, 2,500 training hours and a 60% Welsh workforce
• Supporting sustainability through energy-efficient buildings and design
• Reducing environmental impact through cleaner training methods and lower emissions

Members of the public are invited to view the proposals, ask questions and share their views at:

• 4 August, 5pm-7pm, St Asaph Fire Station

There will also be an opportunity for the public to learn about the project and take part in the consultation at the following summer shows;

• Denbigh and Flint County Show, August 20
• Merioneth County Show, August 26
